We went to Fullerton Railroad Days on Saturday. As you may know, the Amerige brothers convinced railroad agent George Fullerton to route the tracks through their town -- and the economic future of this developing town was secure. For more information on the annual event you can go here.
We got there about 10 a.m. which was too late for the pancake breakfast, but too early fro the tri-tip sandwich. After a quick tour of the booths, Jenna decided she wanted to watch the model trains run for a bit.
Her favorite part was when the trains would travel through the tunnels, to which she would shout, "Unna, unna, unna!!" (Translated this means, "under," which she also says anytime she finds herself beneath the kitchen table). We toured the BNSF Diesel Locomotive (Jenna rang the bell) and a couple other cars that are currently being restored. Jenna got to ride the "Kiddie-Train" in her newly acquired engineer hat (pink, of course).
Finally, at about 12:15 we decided to look for some lunch, but went "off-campus" to do so. It had been a while since we had all been to Heroes, and since it was within walking distance we headed back across Harbor Blvd. We like Heroes because of their "healthy" portions - which I suppose is actually "un-healthy" since we usually get burgers and fries. This time, though, I went with the side of fruit, since I knew Jenna could have some too.
After Heroes, we headed home for naps - it had been quite a morning, after all...
