I got to play goalie this morning at soccer. It was pretty fun. I told my daddy what my favorite part of soccer was. I like running and kicking and now stopping shots, but my very favorite part of soccer is when we have water break :-)

FULLERTON, CA - Today was a big day - I got to watch some animals hatch. OK, not real animals, just the foam sponge variety, but exciting none the less!

I've seen my friends Mikalya and Tyler do this before so I was excited to see what actually came out. Mommy got the "Farm Animals" set from the store, so I was curious to see what would hatch. A pig? A horse? Maybe a sheep?

Heeeeeere we go!!

OK, looks good - making progress...

Hmmm. I think I got an ant and a cow. Interesting. Don't know that I would have included an ant in the "Farm" set, but that's just my opinion. Anyways, big fun on a Friday!

FULLERTON, CA - Jake is two weeks old today so we got to go to the doctor. While we were there, the doctor wanted to look at me too. Seems my mommy and daddy had "forgotten" to schedule my 4-year-old checkup. Ooops.

So Jakey is just fine and I'm 43 inches tall and 47 lbs., in case you were curious (that also might be the last time I offer my weight publicly so enjoy it). However, I'm told that you also get shots at this particular checkup. Neat.

So I got 4 shots - two in each arm. Daddy says I handled it quite well, I didn't start crying until shot number four. I've got to come up with an excuse to skip the next doctors appointment - I hear that one is a doozy. At least I got a butterfly tattoo for my troubles, but you might be able to see that my arm is still a little red. Ouch.

Grandpa H. and his favorite grandkids :-)

FULLERTON, CA - Grandma and Grandpa came down to meet baby Jake today. They said he looks a lot like daddy did when he was little. Poor guy. Hopefully he'll grow out of it.

It was Grandma's birthday on Thursday so we had a mini-party for her. There were no hats, pinatas, or party favors, but there was a good dinner with mommy, daddy, nana and tata, some yummy birthday cake and a present. We gave here a digital frame so she can look at pictures of me and Jake all the time. I'm glad she liked it...

Happy Birthday, Grandma!!

FULLERTON, CA - Happy 1-Week birthday, Jakey-pooh!! Here's my brother, all grown up.

Sorry, Jake. Looks like mom and dad won't get Parents-of-the-Year (again). Ouch.

Jake had his first bath at home today. I don't think he liked it very much. He smells nice, though.

LA HABRA HEIGHTS, CA - Happy birthday, Lindsay!! My cousin Lindsay's birthday is today, but we went to her party yesterday at her house. I got to see Lindsay, Morgan, Zoe, Leah, Judah and Micah. First there was a bounce house, then we had cheeseburgers and hot dogs to eat (thanks uncle Dave) and then we got to play on the new Slip N' Slide that her Grammy and Papa got her. I'd never been on one of those things before - it was super fun!!

We got her some new markers and various other art supplies - she loved them.

Happy Birthday, Lindsay - hope you had a good time at your party. I know I did!!

FULLERTON, CA - Baby Jake is finally here! We brought him home this morning. He was born on Wednesday at around 5:30 in the evening. He's doing real good, and mommy is doing OK too - they're both a little tired. He sleeps a lot. I was hoping to play with him as soon as we got home, but daddy said he wasn't quite ready to play tea party yet. That's OK. I can wait.

I love my baby brother - he's so cute!

NEWPORT BEACH, CA - Today is Mommy's day. That means I get to give my mom lots of love, and she gets to pick where we go, what we do and what we eat. I'm OK with that, because my mommy has really good taste ;-)

After church this morning we drove down to a little mall by the beach that I like to call, "Fashionable Island." We had a yummy lunch at PF Changs, and then Daddy and I rode the Merry-Go-Round while mommy went shopping. We met my friends Aiden, Eli and Ava there, so we got to chase each other around and dip our toes in the fountain. It was a beautiful, sunny day, but not too hot - perfect!

We went home for a quick snooze, and then met my friends Kayla and Kenzie at Disneyland. Aiden came too and we all rode Splash Mountain. It was my first time going on it and it was really fun - we even got to go twice! Then we went on Pirates of the Caribbean, which was a bit scary, but Kayla sat next to me and told me when it was OK to open my eyes. Thanks, Kayla!

It was great to see my friends and go fun places...I had a really good day - I hope mommy did too! She's the best :-)

This is my mom. She's pretty much the best mommy you could ever hope to have. Since today is Mother's Day, I thought I'd just say thanks to my mom for being so good at doing what she does.

Thank you for:

-- reading to me
-- making me good food
-- cuddling with me on the couch
-- painting my toenails and doing my hair
-- tickling me
-- taking me fun places (like Disneyland - hint, hint)
-- reading to me some more
-- pushing me in the swing
-- fixing my ouchies with your kisses
-- letting me rest on your shoulder
-- buying me cute shoes
-- reading to me even more

I love you! Happy Mother's Day!

Here's a video about me and my mommy (special thanks to Nikki B. for the tip on this great song)

FULLERTON, CA - Well, we finally finished brother's room. I think we might be ready for him to come now. He's still living in mommy's tummy right now, but if he decides it's time to come out, he'll have his very own bed to sleep in.

Uncle Dave, Aunt Julie, Nana and Tata were here for a very long time working very hard on getting brother's room just right. Morgan and Lindsay's Poppy was even over helping Uncle Dave with some wood cutting projects. Thanks for all of your help guys!!

I think it turned out just right for a baby brother, what do you think??

FULLERTON, CA - Aaaahhhhh, the magic of sod. A big pile of dirt one minute is literally a beautiful green carpet the next.

Thanks for the new backyard, guys! I can't wait to play in it this summer!

FULLERTON, CA - Tonight was my Spring Program at Preschool, so I got to sing and dance on stage again! Thanks to mommy, daddy, Nana, Tata, Aunt Julie and Uncle Dave for coming to watch me.

First, I danced with my dance class. We did the tap song this time, but not the ballet one like last time.

Then I got to sing and dance with all my friends from Mrs. Karen's class. We did, "I'm a Little Tea Pot" and "Divin' In." Since we were dancing to a song about water, we all got to wear our bathing suits on stage which I thought was very fun.

Here are a few pictures and quick movie clips from the night...enjoy!!
