FULLERTON, CA - Summer means swimming lessons - yay for me. You may recall that last year's swim lessons did not start out on a good note for me personally - yes, there were tears. I'm happy to report that this year started much smoother. I jumped in the pool as soon as I got there, and did everything the teachers asked me too. I remembered to bring my pink goggles as no swim lesson would be complete without them.

It was soooooo fun. My friend Aiden was there - he's a good swimmer too. We floated and kicked and jumped in off the side. I can't wait to go back tomorrow, I love swim lessons!!

BREA,CA - My mommy took me and baby Jake to a store at the mall to get our pictures taken a couple weeks ago (right about the time Jake turned 1-month old).

Here is the result of that photo shoot. As you can see, I'm starting to warm up to the camera...

(Sorry about the "Zazzle" watermark on all the pics - hope you can still enjoy them)

NEWPORT BEACH, CA - Happy birthday, mommy! We celebrated mommy's birthday by heading down to the beach about 10:30. It was a beautiful day by the water. I collected a bucket full of seashells, rode the waves with daddy and built a sand castle with Aunt Julie. Jake came too. It was his first time at the beach. I'm not sure he liked it very much, but he did sleep a fair amount while we were there.

After we got home from the beach, Jake and I took naps while mommy and Julie went out to get their toes painted. Julie and Dave came over to hang out while mommy and daddy went to dinner - just the two of them. I had fun with Dave playing in the backyard.

When mommy and daddy got home we had cake and ice cream (just ice cream for me) and opened mommy's presents. She got lots of nice things.

Happy birthday, mommy - love you!!!

LAKE ARROWHEAD, CA - My daddy took me camping this weekend with some friends from church. I had a great time! We went to a place called "Dogwood" by Lake Arrowhead - it's in the mountains.

I remember going camping last year, but this time was a little different. First, we left mommy and Jake at home - we were sad to leave them, but it was nice to have daddy all to myself for a few days. Second, it wasn't freezing cold at night like last year...I actually got to sleep on top of my sleeping bag instead of in it.

I got to play with so many of my friends - too many to count! We rode our scooters, colored princesses, slept in tents, went exploring, went swimming in a lake, ate s'mores and the thing we did more than anything else, played in the dirt!

I told my daddy I'm ready to go camping again very soon - like next weekend. He said it might be a bit longer than that. Well, whenever we go again, I'm sure I'll have fun...what a great way to spend a weekend!!!!

FULLERTON, CA - Happy Father's Day!! We let dad sleep in this morning and then made him breakfast (I was in charge of the eggs). After church, we took lunch to a park for a picnic. We played for a little while, but then it got a little hot so we went home for naps.

After naps we got to go to Wal-Mart to spend some birthday money that had been burning a hole in my pocket. I got some new things for my "Littlest Pet Shop" collection and got a new doll house to set up. I can't wait to play with my new things...

Happy Father's Day, daddy - you're the best!

LA HABRA HEIGHTS, CA - Tonight we got to go to Morgan and Lindsay's house to have dinner with some friends. There were lots of other kids there too, like Sean and Anna, Morgan and Lindsay, Hanna, Matty and Isabella, and of course, Jake. Happy 1-month birthday, little brother - you look great!!

We had a great BBQ dinner (thanks Uncle Dave) and got to play on the Slip-n-Slide and in the pool. There was a pinata that we had forgotten to do on Lindsay's birthday, so we got to take a couple swings at that and get some candy out of it. Then Aunt Julie gave us brownies and ice cream for dessert - yummy. All-in-all a pretty good way to spend a Saturday night - thanks everyone!! I had a great time!

ANAHEIM, CA - Aunt Julie picked me up and took me to the Angels Game today - it was great! Morgan and Lindsay came too. We got cotton candy and Big Daddy Vladdy even hit a homerun for us - he's my favorite Angel.

Thanks, Aunt Julie - I had a great time. I can't wait for my next Angels game.

FULLERTON, CA - Today was my last day of school for this year. My daddy took me this morning and mommy picked me up after lunch. I really liked my teacher this year - thanks for everything, Mrs. Karen! I can't wait for school to start again, but I'm really looking forward to summer. Swimming, baseball games, Lake Tahoe, the beach, BBQs - it's my favorite season!

I went to Aiden, Eli and Ava's house on Saturday. Their dad put the kiddy pool at the bottom of their slide. It was really fun, and the perfect thing to do on a warm afternoon.

Thanks, Aaron - that was fun!!

Baby Jake will be 1 month old this week - it seems like just yesterday we brought him home...

FULLERTON, CA - Today was the last day of soccer for a little while. We played a game and then got a trophy. It's my first trophy ever! Aunt Julie says that daddy should build me a trophy case since I'll be getting so many of these over the next few years.

I'm not so sure about that. I don't think I want daddy building anything for me - I've seen him swing a hammer before. Let's just say he's no Ty Pennington. Mommy likes Ty Pennington, but I digress...

Soccer's done, it's summer, so that means it's almost time for swim lessons!!

FULLERTON, CA - Today I got to go to the Fullerton Arboretum with some friends from church. We played and had a nice lunch in the grass. I even saw a family of turtles. It was a great day to be outside!!
